‘Production Facts and Prints of the North Wales Slate Industry 1825-1955’ Erik R G Scott

This spiral bound volume began its production in the 1970’s when Erik started collating the production and employment in the Ffestiniog Slate Quarries and by chance was approached by Dr Michael Lewis of Hull University, who was writing a history of the Rhosydd Slate Quarry and looking assistance. This chance meeting resulted in the sharing of a large accumulation of information, thus the basis of this volume was compiled, some 50 years on. This is a spiral bound volume of 88 pages of production facts and figures with colour and black and white photographs of items such as quarrymen’s brass tobacco boxes, wagons and workers from the quarries, artifacts found, pay tickets and so on.
